ABOUT US - HOW TO REACH US
Starigrad-Paklenica is situated almost in the centre of Dalmatia at the crossing of most traffic routes. You can get to Starigrad-Paklenica by:
• Air – Zadar Airport Zemunik (ZAD) is well connected with all larger cities in Croatia and Europe, and is only about a half hour drive from Starigrad-Paklenica!
• Car – You can get to Starigrad-Paklenica from several directions, but the Zagreb – Split A1 state motorway highway is the quickest and best way to get here. It is best to exit from the motorway at the Maslenica or Posedarje interchanges, and continue to the main road towards Rijeka. If you are coming from the direction of Rijeka, use the Adriatic main road – State Road D-8.
• Ferry – Ancona to Zadar – If you are coming from the direction of Italy, the shortest possible route is via Ancona by ferry to Zadar. The journey lasts 8 hours (departure is usually at 10 pm and arrival at 6 am). The advantage of this kind of travel is that it is much more pleasant and less stressful than using other kinds of transport. When you sail into Zadar, you are only an hour's drive from Starigrad-Paklenica!
• Rail – Zagreb - Knin - Zadar
• Bus – Zadar is the centre of northern Dalmatia and is well connected with all Croatian cities and larger European centres. From Zadar, it is only a one hour drive to Starigrad-Paklenica.
